Look what we just got from the printer:

The rest of the books are on the boat, and headed from Korea to the U.S.!  Assuming there aren't any further delays, we should have them in-hand in mid-July.

The books look FABULOUS!  The UV Spot-Gloss and upgraded covers and paper don't disappoint.  Can't wait for you all to see them in person!

If you only ordered a digital copy, or backed a tier that didn't include a physical copy, you can add one through your survey or through our pre-order page via BackerKit.

And if you haven't answered your survey yet, please do so!  If you lost, deleted, or never received the survey, you can recover it by clicking here.

We'll share more updates as we get them!  The bookplates should be arriving soon, and commissions are already underway as well!

Digital Rewards Sent, and a Physical Update!

Hi Gang,

The digital rewards of the Kickstarter Exclusive mini-comics and the trade paperbacks are in the process of sending right now!  If you don't have them by tomorrow, Saturday, please let us know!

We're particularly excited about the mini-comics, as both explore the origins of the series in ways we haven't seen before.

Does your tier not include the digital rewards?  You can still add them as an Add-On via the BackerKit survey you received.  If you haven't filled out your survey, please do so ASAP!  (If you missed the Kickstarter campaign, sorry!  These rewards are exclusive to campaign Backers, and not available anymore.  You CAN still order the physical books via our pre-order page, however!)

Additionally, we got an updated timeline from our printer, which is the following:

"The plant will be going to press on 5/16 and then into binding by 5/23. Books will be taken to port on 5/31 with the vessel sailing either 6/4 or 5. This would put books delivering between 7/8-13."

Obviously this isn't the timeline we planning for, and we apologize in advance for the delay.  If your address is going to be affected by the delay, we'll hold of locking down the surveys until we have the books.  As soon as we have the books in-hand, we'll be working as quickly as possible to get them turned around and shipped to you.

In the meantime, please enjoy reading the digital editions of the books, as well as the exclusive mini-comics!  And thanks again for helping us bring these creator-owned series to print!

PLEASE NOTE: If you'd like a high-resolution version of the digital trade paperbacks (they're MASSIVE files that were too big for BackerKit), please send us a message via Kickstarter, and we'll send you a link to download it directly from us.

Surveys and Proofs

Just a quick heads-up that surveys are going out as we speak.  Look for them in your inbox! (If you don't want to answer them now, or might be moving in the next month or two, don't worry - you can change your responses until we lock them down at the end of June.)

Backerkit Surveys In-Coming! (Plus, a Surprise!)

Wow! What a month!

We've been working all month with the printer to ensure the best possible quality on these books, and boy are we glad we did!  You won't be disappointed.

Backerkit Surveys

The surveys are complete and ready to come your way - we're just waiting for the greenlight from BackerKit, the service we're using to help streamline fulfillment.  It was a much more rigorous process than we expected, but it should make things easier for you all, and help us get the books out faster once we have them.

It is important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information for fulfilling your rewards.  As soon as we have the surveys back from you, we'll be able to send out the digital rewards immediately.

You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey, just click on the survey link, fill it out, and you’re all good to go! You will be able to answer questions about your rewards preferences, provide shipping information, pledge for more “add-ons,” or even increase your tier if you'd like. You do not have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

If you decide later that you want to edit your survey response, you can go back to your survey and change it any time before we lock down the surveys for processing.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you will be able to recover your survey here: comicker-press-launches.backerkit.com.

If you use your Facebook login for your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you would prefer to use, please contact support at comicker-press-launches.backerkit.com/faq and we'll get you sorted out!

Whew.  That was a mouthful.

And now, the surprise!

We crunched the numbers, and based on how many digital backers we had (and how few international backers), we were actually able to upgrade the books, even though we didn't reach our stretch goal!  This means the books will have thicker covers and interior paper, and Spot UV Gloss on the covers to boot!  Shiny!

We couldn't have done it without your help, so again, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us bring these books to print!  

Keep your eyes on your in-box, and we'll keep on posting updates and things roll along.

Hi Gang,

Just a quick "Thank You!" to mark the end of the campaign!  We'll keep you posted each step of the way (but not so much that it gets annoying!), and will be sending surveys in the near future.

Currently, we're finalizing the files for both books to send to the printer, and will crunch the final numbers once we have them.

Thank you again for all your help!  These two creator-owned series will exist in the physical world solely thanks to you!
